Policies


Returns / Exchanges:

All sales are final.

At this time I am unable to accept returns or exchanges, however for items arriving damaged via shipping please get in contact with photos and a refund or replacement will be sent. I do my best to package your order so it will arrive safely however ceramics are extremely fragile. Once it is shipped it is out of my hands.

Please inspect your order carefully once it arrives. If your item arrives broken, please email me through the contact page within 3 days of the delivery and you will be issued a refund or replacement will be sent.  Piton Pottery will not refund due to breakages if you fail to notify us within 3 days of delivery. 

Please note Original shipping and return shipping are not reimbursed.  

Please read item descriptions and understand that the nature of handmade ceramics may have slight differences than what is pictured on screen. Variations may occur and are not limited to the finish, glaze colors and textures are part of the nuances of handmade ceramics.  If you have questions about any piece please send an email and I'll do my best to supply the information you are inquiring about. I inspect all my pieces before listing them online and before they are shipped to insure the best quality, however I am only one person running my entire business so if you feel there has been an error please get in contact via email at pitonpottery@gmail.com

Shipping and Delivery:

Please allow for a minimum of 3 business days prior to your order shipping from Canada.

Piton Pottery is not responsible for any applicable duty fees which may arise upon accepting your parcel. During any international customs process, duty fees may be charged upon receipt.

Please note that incomplete or incorrect shipping addresses may result in your parcel being returned or abandoned. Any return shipping fees or loss of item is to be covered by the customer if this occurs.

If your package appears to be lost or stolen it is the carrier service's responsibility for it's safe delivery. If your tracking states the item has been delivered but is not at your residence please first check that the shipping address entered is correct. Contact the carrier service with your tracking number and check with your local Post Office. It is your responsibility as the buyer to notify the carrier service of lost or stolen packages. Piton Pottery does not refund for lost or stolen packages.

 

Care Instructions:

All works are made from medium temperature, commercial clay sourced in western Canada. They are stoneware, fired to cone 6 in electric oxidation with lead-free, food safe glazes unless otherwise stated. Most items are dishwasher and microwave safe, unless otherwise stated. To prolong the longevity of handmade pottery it is best practice to hand-wash. To avoid thermal shock refrain from exposing your wares to extreme temperature changes like freezing and/or boiling. 

Piton Pottery will not refund for any breakage once the item is in your possession. Piton Pottery is not responsible for any resulted damage or injury due to normal or misuse of pottery.
